THE BOURGOGNE & FRANCHE-COMTÉ INTER-REGIONAL GERONTOLOGY CENTRE
First inter-regional gerontology network in France
The Bourgogne / Franche-Comté Inter-regional Gerontology Centre (PGI BFC) is devoted to improving older people’s quality of life. Its greatest asset is the diversity of its network (public and private health and social welfare establishments, home support workers, service users, academics, local authorities, companies, etc.). This enables multiple competencies and experience to be mobilized.
The PGI BFC has two main strategic lines of action:
– Economic development through the creation of research links with industry in the two regions, promoting innovation in gerontology and
building public and private partnerships (industrial groups, SMEs, research laboratories, training establishments, health care bodies, service
providers, local authorities, etc.)
– The development and coordination of a gerontology network to propose and promote concrete initiatives involving professionals, ‘helpers’
and older people themselves (living at home or in residential care).
During the taste Nutrition Health congress, PGI cohosts with AG2R La Mondiale, ASSAD NutriConseil, CARSAT BFC, GIE IMPA.
